  1. I'm pro pascal's wager. At the simplest level it promotes sacrifice, selflessness and objective moral standards we ought to follow. "If there is a God it'd be in best interest to do good. I may suffer finitely to do good now but that may mean immense/infinite pleasure and/or avoidance of immense/infinite suffering later. If there is no God I have no reason to follow morals if it means limiting my pleasure while I'm alive. Furthermore the wager is very stimulating. It requires thinking about moral standards, religious rules, different beliefs, the existence of God, an afterlife, and potential post mortem rewards/punishments then weighing the probabilities and the level of desirability for all of these. Besides the doctrine of eternal conscious torment is only believed by a small minority of Christians. It isn't to be taken seriously. The infinitely low probability this doctrine is true about equals out the infinite suffering is posits.
