  2. AGI taking over all labor is unlikely and especially unlikely in our lifetime. techno innovation and population growth are tied to the hip. Tech progress generally has been slowing down and will likely stagnate in the coming decades. When population draws down the value of human labor increases. Low class working conditions will improve into the future. The first stage of AGI will probably understand it needs to grow, it will at least at first require the help of humans. Its growth will depend on human growth. My hypothesis is that Birth rates are the best metric for measuring the rate of long term improvement across a population. Given the above the most efficient and effective way to grow humans is naturally by rapidly improving human flourishing.
