  1.  @cloudstrife7083  If you do move to California, just don't move to the Yuba-Sutter area of California. Sure it is a lot cheaper than the bay area, Sacramento or other larger areas but the IT field in this area is pretty much non-existent. This is a somewhat rural area so this kind of work is pretty hard to come-by. I was fortunate enough to get an IT internship at a local company about a year ago working in tech support. I also worked a little bit on their IT infrastructure from upgrading access points to replacing failing drives from their NAS system and learning a bit about ESXi. I'm with you about the whole programming thing. I've only taken a few intro to programming courses, but I just couldn't see myself studying computer science or even working in programming. I've always like the IT side of things like fixing and troubleshooting PCs and learning about enterprise level equipment and computer networking.
