  1. You could, but the IT program probably won't include many programming courses. IT degrees are generally if you're wanting to work on the IT side of technology, like working on servers, networks, PC. You're not really going to be programming in these kinds of jobs. The closest may be scripting in something like BASH or PowerShell.
