  1. Companies move out of the USA for cheaper labor and less environmental regulations. Mexico has relatively lax environmental protections compared to the USA.

  2. And they also likely don't work for Mexican wages. I always see on Instagram how people move to Mexico because it is so cheap. But none of them ever actually work in Mexico for local wages. They have remote US jobs and get paid in USD. And I get that people are free to have remote jobs. But they always make it seem like its the best thing ever while they conveniently hide the fact they earn in dollars. I'm sure their tune would be different if they worked for pesos.
