Comments by "Javier Flores" (@JJFlores197) on "Do you STILL suck at subnetting?? (THE FINAL TEST) // EP 9" video.
Nope. He still is missing a lot of information for the CCNA exam.

I would look at help-desk/IT support jobs for entry-level. They're not the best jobs, but its a start. Do you have any other computer experience/knowledge?
2
In its current state, it is incomplete. There's no way anyone can pass the CCNA exam with just this video series. There's still a lot of information that is missing.
2
Not at all. This series is not even close to being complete. There's still a lot of stuff that he hasn't covered. I'm not sure what the hold up is as its been going on for over 3 years... He's a good presenter, but his series still has a lot of material to cover. I suggest watching Jeremy's IT Lab. He may not be as enthusiastic as NWC, but his series is actually complete and is pretty good.

Are you talking about configuration wise, if so then you'll need to find a guide for your specific router on how to create subnets. All of the subnet videos he has are to show you the how and why subnets work and the math behind them. Configuring subnets on a router is a different story that differs a lot depending on brand of router you have.

Probably not. I suggest watching Jeremy's IT Lab. He has a complete CCNA series. He may not be as enthusiastic as NWC, but his series is complete and pretty good.

I doubt it. If there is any performance benefit, It will likely be negligible.
1
You sure can, but its still important to understand the "why" and "how".

You could setup multiple physical routers. However, that can be unwieldy and very expensive. The common thing to do is to setup VLANs and subnets. With your router, you create the various subnets and assign VLANs to the different subnets. That way your networks are separated and only run on 1 router.
1
Yeah good luck with that... No matter your "justification", its still illegal.
1
I get what you're saying, but its impractical for him to show a tutorial as not everyone will have the same device. Different brands all have different capabilities and/or layouts so it would be impossible to create a universal guide that covers every single device in existence.
1
Its not complete. He still has a lot of topics he hasn't covered. And I do mean a lot.
1
Not unless you want to put those 5 computers on different subnets.

You'll need to learn how to setup routers and switches. There are many different brands and models all with their own syntax and configuration. Once you understand how to configure a Cisco router for instance, you can setup your own network with various subnets and VLANs.

🤦🤦🤦🤦 Yes you can use ChatGPT for help, but in the "real world", you should understand how subnets work if you're a computer network professional.
