  1. Interesting. I live in a town of 66k. I took the bus to a nearby community college during the summer of 2015 and didn't feel like I missed out on any socializing because most of the people there were either on their phones or listening to music. I don't think I ever saw any socializing apart from a few people here and there. There's also a lot of shady people in that specific town that the college is in.

  2. "Rail transportation, on the other hand, allows for VERY EXCELLENT social contact" HA!! That's too funny. I took the bus to school a few years ago and there was very, very social contact. I don't know about you, but I don't want to make VERY EXCELLENT social contact with very shady people who frequently board the bus.

  3. Actually I am from NorCal so you're not too far off. And I just realized I made a mistake; I meant to write " ...there was very, very little social contact." But I'm just telling you my experience taking the bus system where I live; it's not that great.
