I'm not a mechanic or auto engineer. But from my somewhat limited experience working on cars, I believe you can, in theory, super charge/turbo charge just about any engine. The questions then become: Can the engine handle the extra boost? Are the internals capable of the extra pressure your supercharger will introduce? How are you going to program the car's computer to handle the extra air/fuel mixture? There's a lot of variables that come into play that pretty much negate any advantage of adding a turbo or supercharger to an engine that wasn't necessarily designed for it. For instance, I used to have a Ford taurus with a 3.0 L Vulcan V6 engine. From what I can tell, Ford never made a turbo charged version of that car so there isn't any bolt-on kits you can buy to turbo charge it. You would need to do a fair amount of custom work AND hope you don't mess up something.
