@Alex-kn7cb I can attest to that. My first car was a 2001 Taurus with the Vulcan engine. It had 179k miles when I bought it. Mechanically, the car has been very reliable. I had to put in some work, like new tires, tie rods, etc but it worked well and I rarely had problems with it. I put about 30k-35k miles on it in about 3.5 years and a fender bender and it still works fine. I took it to Mexico to give to some family members down there and when I gave it to them it had 214k mi on and it still is going strong. That thing isn't pretty, fast, or powerful, but it has been very reliable in my experience.
