  1. Interesting. I live in a town of 66k people in Northern California and we have no passenger trains or anything like that. There used to be train tracks that ran across my town many decades ago, but I believe about 25 years ago all passenger train service stopped and the train tracks have been mostly removed. There are still some train tracks that run on the north eastern part of town, but they're rarely used.
