  1. I get that. As a teenager in the early 2010s, I went with my friends to the local mall quite often. It was ok to get out of the house, but the mall itself in our town is terrible. It has had a mediocre food court, low quality stores and nothing particularly "fun" or "exciting".

  2. Where I live in northern California, its pretty miserable in that regard. Our local mall has been terrible for over a decade and our "downtown" area has been pretty depressing for 15 years since they've "revitalized" it.
