  1. Its ironic and scary that in the state of California, we don't have any vehicle safety inspections. California is the most regulated, taxed, and strictest (emissions) state in the USA yet no one cares if your car is unsafe. But god forbid it doesn't pass smog check (emissions test).

  2. I don't know dude. My first car was a 2001 Ford Taurus. I bought it with 179k mils and I had no major issues. I gave it to my aunt 5 years ago and last I heard, it had over 240k miles on it with no major issues still. The horrid roads in Mexico take a tough toll on the suspension though. My last car was a 2005 Ford Taurus and still runs strong. I gave it to my mom with just under 160k miles and still works great.
