  1. Well for one thing, I can assure you poverty is a big issue in most of California. Most people in the state are living pay check to pay check. California has become extremely expensive over the past years. Even people who have a "good" salary in California struggle because things are very expensive. Crime has gone up due to lax laws regarding crime. People steal things with no real repercussions. Even if police arrest a thieve, there's a high chance they get set free.
