@runed0s86 I don't know dude. I've run Windows 11 since the beta leaked a few years ago and have rarely had any issues. Never even seen any ads.

Most non-tech savvy people who buy desktop computers or laptops have absolutely no idea what that means. They just buy it and use it. That's it.

I have a ThinkPad from around 2000 that has a CD drive. I bought it on eBay almost 5 years ago just so that I could 'relive' a bit of the computing experience of that time. I was too young in the early 2000s to really understand computers at that time. Definitely a cool little experience, but I quickly realized how much SSDs have helped with performance. The stock HDD was pretty noisy. Only thing that I dislike about it is that it has no touchpad, but it does have the trackpoint

@grumpycat_1 Have you ever worked in tech support? You would be amazed at the little some people understand about technology. I mean I work in school IT support. Some people I work with have a hell of a time understanding that the "Out of paper" light that comes on means they need to put paper in the tray. Or that they need to make sure power strip is plugged into power in order for their monitor to turn on...

That's true, but I think they're targeting the average computer user. I can assure you most regular computer users have absolutely no idea how to do a clean install of Windows or what DBAN is, let a lone how to create a bootable USB drive.
