  1. I agree. I took the bus for a summer semester almost 7 years ago to the nearby community college (~7-8 miles away 2 towns over). It was miserable. It took on average 70 minutes to get there mainly due to the amount of stops it made. When I bought my first car, it was a massive difference. I was able to get to school in 25 minutes tops, usually average 15-20 minutes.

  2. What do you consider a small town? I live in a town in northern California with 67k people. Some consider it relatively 'small', but I guess its all relative.
