  1. There's a very popular post below about needing a new political landscape. I agree with that wholeheartedly but unfortunately there are a couple of major hurdles. 1. A sophisticated ultra powerful right wing media machine that has dictated our political landscape since Thatcher came to power. The most insidious aspect of this, is the manner in which it's 'normalised' the telling of material lies that would hitherto have rendered politicians positions untenable. Johnson and his cohorts can lie and break conduct codes with utter impunity. This machine will never permit a reasonable balance between the needs of corporates and those of stakeholders. 2. An intellectually lazy ill informed electorate that swallows vacuous sloganeering and flag waving behind which the so called 'anti Establishment' Brexitory millionaire and billionaire Elite has hidden - saying one thing and doing something completely different. All it has to do to quell any potential disquiet amongst the serf population is to distract it with a Union Jack and a slogan like 'Global Britain is leading the world'. You've all witnessed it.
