What’s all the fuss about. Lazy working class people need to learn to cook rather than have take aways. Tory Peoples Champion Lee Anderson said so and he manages to get by on just 81k plus 220k ‘expenses’. He’s a shining example to us all.

@danb6532 Your particular job Your particular circumstances. No mention was made of stopping trade with Non EU countries. Our fishermen were promised a Brexit Utopia by the likes of Farage - it was one of the very few potential tangible Brexit benefits and what a mess that turned out to be! It wasn't a dishonest 'take' - it was a factual statement. The dishonesty is all yours. Corbyn's not in power is he? Not that I'm a fan. Dan I've downgraded you from deluded.

Hilarious. Have you not seen the new 'toytown' style plasterboard and plastic housing development with the 12 square inch gardens overlooked on 10 'sides'? Another sanctimonious clueless Tory living in the distant past.....

My name's Frugal Dougal Mc Tory Boy......I grow all my own oranges pineapples bananas and bread fruit....If you buy a bow and arrow you can shoot squirrels in the local park - squirrel Wellington is delightful with some home made cabbage wine. In addition I use the squirrel fur to make warm clothes for the winter so that I can afford to turn the heat off now that it's become too expensive. Oh and I've converted my car to run on horse manure from a local farm...it's really not that difficult you know. Who needs a living wage.

Here’s the thing, I can screw £220,000 out of taxpayers so I can afford caviar starters grouse for mains and Bolly to wash it down. You lot can’t so you have to learn to live within your meagre means. Learn to forage for plants. Hunt squirrels in your local parks - that’s your protein. Stop whining just because there’s a 54% tariff hike and petrol/food prices are rocketing.

It's the indolent feckless Brexit supporting Red Wall patriots who are fault here. Not the 'patriotic' Establishment Elites on the Corporate payrolls who refuse to impose a windfall tax on the Energy Giants making money hand over fist at the expense of those struggling to pay the colossal 54% tariff hike and monumental fuel bills (get back to work!). You've been conned folks.

@danb6532 I think our 'Murdoch Democracy' is dysfunctional by design, The wealthy elites smirk whilst their media machines fuel endless internecine pleb v pleb squabbling - keep's us distracted see.....like the Brexitories do. I'm a moderate incidentally - so probably a commie in GB News parlance.

@hornslane Give us a few juicy tidbits - the highlights so to speak. Lee's clearly misunderstood and is mot probably massively intelligent and incredibly earnest but I thought he was just recyling decades old Daily Express guff....yunnow, the old feckless benefit scrounging plasma tv's and two foreign holidays routine.

@danb6532 Dan. Brexit has been an unmitigated crock. Ask businesses trying to wade through the additional Brexit red tape of the fishermen who should be happy like the fishies because they are 'British' (another classic from that prat Mogg), or the unbelievably stupid tory farmers. Cameron and Gideon made sweeping assertions which were 'Big Bang' and wrong. Leave's Turkish Hordes and protection of the NHS and British workers were flat out lies. 'Taking' money from the rich? Your Free Market Brexitory Govt had a pre Covid Socialist budget that would have made Corbyn blush - how could you not be aware of that?(Brexit mitigation slush fund tbf)
