I’m unable to comprehend how a ‘tax cheat’ can be treated so leniently. He’s effectively attempted to steal £3.7m from the Exchequer of the country he purports to love. What’s the sentence for attempted theft of that magnitude?

@charlessmyth He's not a bank robber he returned the stolen cash to the bank as soon as the police arrived. HMRC does not issue fines for innocent mistakes.

@jjefferyworboys8138 Cheating is a misnomer in this context. And no ISA's are not 'cheating' as they explicitly endorsed by HMRC to encourage savings /reduce reliance upon the State.
