This Govt resolutely refuses to invest in 'taking back control' be it staffing the empty £25million border control post at Portsmouth, introducing proper covid checks at airports, or tackling these traffickers (not easy I know). I am reminded of when Patel claimed to have a presence at Calais which it transpired was a garden shed with a notice on it advising asylum seekers to head for Paris or Brussels. And yet they'll spend £70 billion of our money subsidising a wealthy dysfunctional cartel's unexpected unearned 'profits'!
