  1. What we were promised: private sector efficiency, better service lower costs - freedom from tax payer burden. What was delivered: failure to repair pipes, failure to invest in infrastructure, massive and frequent releases of raw sewage into our river and coastlines, large levels of borrowing to pay shareholder dividends, massive bonuses for failing executives and now Thames Water asking for a bail out after shareholders refused to help!
