Maybe the problem here is twofold: Muslims emigrate to Britain for economic reasons and expect a Liberal Western democracy to accommodate their religious sensibilities ‘Indigenous’ white people feel threatened by a religion they see as fundamentalist / intolerant and incompatible with their culture. Maybe that’s the starting point for debate?
