Perhaps you can help me. On the polarizing experiment why can't the waves simply be rotating after going through a slit? I mean he explains it like waves are static on certain planes at completely verticle or horizontal. He just assumes they snap into orientation, and simply aren't rotating making a spiral path. Why. I guess I am missing the experiment where we know the orientation as the light passes onto the next slits after successfully passing the first. ( Also second thought. Why does he beleive they are snapping in the first place, and not being deflected into position to go through the slit correctly. )
