  1.  @JaSon-wc4pn  Man that's like saying blame the jews for it. Blame the cartels and more importantly the consumer. If people weren't willing to pay for these outrageous prices then they would be sold for less. Diamonds do have some crazy properties too. Still want to see what a diamond edged sword would be like even if it isn't ideal. Or some body armor with a solid diamond plate(or scales) sandwiched between Kevlar. Now we just need to be able to reproduce some spider silk. Madagascan spider silk is the strongest or toughest Fibre KNOWN IIRC. Since carbon nanotubes are like fusion and always a decade ahead.
