  1. This technology among with passive cooling is pretty interesting. I just saw a video a few weeks back about this system that was completely electricity free using both evaporative and radiative cooling. Those systems have been around but this one had potential to freeze water! I was out of it on dialysis so forgive me, but they could already get pretty close to freezing. I beleive 41.1 but the materials were not there yet. Ugh wish I could find the video or team! These systems are great for decentralization regardless if other methods are used.

  2. Well if we had fusion we could just skip it all and just use salt water allowing nature to do its thing instead of taking from fresh water sources. Wish we could figure out what to do with the brine though.

  3.  @Bell_plejdo568p  Yes if the cost of energy went down desalination would be hands down the best option for getting fresh water since most of the earth is covered in it and most of our major cities are on the coasts anyway. Systems like this will never be used for truly large scale. Great for decentralized locations and for towns and such in remote places. Yet for manufacturing and agriculture? No way these will ever relieve even 20% of the burden.
