  1. There is a company trying to use flywheels as a storage. It is an insane feat of engineering. Think it runs in a vacuum rotating at insane RPM. Flywheels for fluctuations with batteries plus super capacitors will be the future. It won't be one technology most likely for a while. There is a company that is working on the frequency or fluctuations I think with battery and super capacitor technology. It won't be the main storage. Just help the baseline or something like that. I mean why we don't do nuclear for baseline then decentralize the grid with renewables is beyond me.
