It occured to me if you make the vanes softer than the inner walls. You can have them self sharpen on your vane engine like rodents teeth. The vanes can thus be whittled down, but always touching as they "grow" sort of like a brushless motor. That way you only have to replace the vanes. I wonder if that would work. How you would go about making the vanes JUST the right pressure on the walls with the centrifugal forces is beyond me.

You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work. I'm terminally ill if I don't get a transplant, and people ask me what keeps me going. It is things like this! Hope I see it and GEM used in the future for sure!

More vanes more power. More efficent use of energy. What is amazing about your flap idea is you can have many more. Try putting the flaps at an angle. Also using a softer material for the vanes than the casing is advised. So it whittles em down sealing a gap. Think how a brushless motor works. Then design the flaps to still make perfect contact while they whittle down over time.

The entire intro I was like. If it isn't a vane design it isn't perfect! Now make a vane ICE engine! You'll sell millions, and make gear heads afraid of electricty give you their money. Praise you as a god for the next five decades at least!

The syringe is the weakest part of the engine. You should start designing pumps to improve control over flow of your fuels for your engines.
