Dubai being a tourist destination makes me laugh. If the country was not ya know, ran by strict theologians then I would understand it as the go to destination. Yet it is a Muslim country with all of their laws. Sorry, I don't care how beautiful the city is or becomes. I'm not going to make it my go to destination, ever. I am admittedly speaking from ignorance, but unless I have actual business there I'd never visit.

They'd still need to learn how to make the parts of the other suppliers. The mirrors are the flatest on earth for instance which requires extreme engineering from those who make the tools. They are catching up though by their sheer numbers and resources not to mention their government can swivel on a dime. However other nations are getting very upset with them in their own backyard. Sucks the world is becoming so polarized.

I remember seeing a documentary called China Rising (had an Indian one too), but all the markers were there from the start. Those in power basically turned an other cheek because of greed. Have to make the stock holders happy. We should have started playing hard years ago and hack them as much as they do us.

Well yeah it is a YT video for a quick and digestible information on X subject. Up to us to dive deeper into said topics. I do kind of wish he would go back into a particular popular or important topic and dive deeper. His editing and presentation are making other information YT channels subpar haha! Johnny Harris is okay. Yet I find his videos so liberal that it is biased. He doesn't lie - he just nit picks information and phrases the information he does give in a certain way. Type of person to report a woman getting beat up by her husband without talking about the emotional abuse she put their kids and him through after killing their dog.

I guess that statement rings true to people who only get their military knowledge from movies. Submarines aren't as flashy as other ships and don't work for the camera well. People don't realize just how damn big they are either. I've seen one sectipn at EB being built - they are MASSIVE when ya see it outside the water. Submarines are the corner stone for all nuclear powers safety. One submarine can basically destroy any nation thrice over. They are just out of the limelight yet do a lot when it comes to everything from deterrence, intelligence, and special operations. They don't call it the Silent Service without reason!

He forgot to talk about ASLM. He said German but they are from the Netherlands, or Dutch.

Amazon changed the world. If it wasn't them. It would be someone else. Someone worse most likely. That doesn't mean I think they are good. Or can't be better. Or excusing anything.

@MelaninMagdalene No that is China. They lost a sub... By hitting their own net! (Well no one knows, but the British think so.) What is sad is they tried hiding it instead of asking for help. Kept trying to deny anything happened to save face like usual. I may not like the government, but that sucks for those men.

He was the right man, with the right people, at the right time WITH the right skills. The right kid really. Did more than any of you by 24. Had his own software company by what, 20? Wild to think you all think his mom at IBM is the only reason why he succeeded. Bill Gates however was a terrible person, and cut throat businessman. If anyone can discredit him with anything it is how he got away with some business practices.

Shows are garbage. Movies are garbage. I admit I'm picky yet when I go through it I'm like what is this trash. Modern Steven Seagull movies. Their series are all targeted against women or teens as well. Witcher is about the only thing I have watched on Netflix. They aren't the only ones either. No more Altered Carbon. No more Expanse. Don't know where Witcher 3 was going but the first half was stupid and worse cliff hanger I've ever witnessed. I honestly don't know if its me or shows yet shit is just uninspired and uninteresting.

@8bert9 Such a stupid place to build a FAB. I get it tax incentives and blah blah, but the amount of ultra clean fresh water per day to run a FAB is insane! So hey let's build it in one of the driest places of America! In a freaken desert... Let's not worry about the the Colorado River there's plenty, I mean, its not like its shrinking. Wait.

Also ASLM who creates the EUV machines that TSMC uses. They are from the Netherlands. They are all key to it. Also some mirror manufacturer as well. I wish there were videos on these specialized companies. Especially for military weapons. Learned that Russia purchases a LOT of small components that they cannot reproduce or was just easier to purchase from the west for their weapons. Like how many companies are involved in the F 35.

The question here is what and how we classify as AI. Right now people use the word pretty loosely. Like are we talking about an a self improving algorithm or a self conscience program that has more computing power than humans. You don't need the later for what you mentioned. Just a few well written programs. Me I need a super AI in my pocket that isn't connected to anything and who's consciences is like mine! Just smarter version of me who likes me so much that it would never harm me or others and aligns with my morals.

Yeah what the hell. Wait so their idea is to send the entire factory up each time? That is dumb as hell. Launch a bunch of modules to create a factory that stays in space that can be supplied by a ship that also can return products. Build a central hub that is basically command and control. Then work your way from there. When you're in construction or manufacturing - you don't bring the tools to the location or make tools over and over for each product run. That is so inefficient. What am I missing?
