  1. Germans only had six to eight weeks of supplies too. When I learned that I was like well... Geez no wonder why. I can't believe how many armies sorely underestimate their enemies willingness to fight. Even Russia just did it with Ukraine. What makes these generals or politicians think capturing a city equals victory anyway? Even if Germany got further, and took more of the majior cities. They communist just had to go defend the mountains. They had supplies on the other side, and majior factories past the Urals! Fun fact. Horses were mainly used to transport supplies. Basically it went rail roads, then horses. Oh, and Germany couldn't use Russian rail due to different rail gauges. Well I doubt that mattered since Russia practiced scorch earth policies.
