I hope they fix their dam before a freak storm destroys it. The Mosul? Who cares about a port if that breaks.

@mikelay5360 Fukishima to be fair was such a poorly designed plant, and put in such a stupid location. The back up generation issue being a glaring flaw. Then they didn't expect a big Tsnumani to hit... What?! People knew it was vulnerable, but didn't want to shut it down to make upgrades. We can design modern Nuclear reactors that can auto shut down, and seal themselves in a cartoon. I say build them to survive a magnitude 10, and build them to survive underwater even if it isn't near the ocean. Also against bombs and tornados. We can build like that. Just costs money, but that is a problem since nuclear reactors already cost the most. Batteries and renewabeles are becoming SO cheap that it is a legit question as to why go nuclear now. (One reason is they require less space, and aren't vulnerable to things like hail).

@asoothingsound1538 Actually Europe colonized places and generally saved culture and history. So many items today were saved due to Europeans taking things, that would have just been destroyed by ignorant locals, or melted and scrapped to make room for something stupid like a farm. That is the real irony of it all. Look at China. It has destroyed so much of its own history for room for everything else. Anyway Europe is stupid. Complain about having no room, and expensive rent, but won't build high.

Yup, and you guys complain about high rents, living expenses, and no where to live close to jobs. Then don't build high. Hah. Dumb AF to live in some house with poor plumbing, and electricity outlets/wiring. It is possible to build nice things today, keep a certain aesthetic, and keep important houses.

Of course there will be some consequences but there will also be a lot of good. The wildlife will most likely be fine as far as I know and probably will prosper in the massive reservoir if they do it well. Now some say this will trigger WWIII. I doubt that but Egypt literally has threatened they will blow it up multiple times from what I understand. I hope it works as intended and the Nile doesn't flood or really change anything except for those who need the electricity. God knows Ethiopia desperately does! I hear they could become a major power if they continue to grow and prosper without more wars.
