Maybe a stage to get it going out of the tube and into the air like the Javelin? It's a big freaking rocket and you don't want that thing just going ploop in front of you.

No, unless guided of course. Think about it - rockets are longer and have thrust during it's flight time which means more variables. I'm not even sure if they spin to be honest for stabilization. So a generalization from what I've read is Artillery is great for sustained fire and more accurate, while easily reloadabld. They can land multiple hits on the same area at the same time by changing the arc and charges. Rocket Artillery is amazing for laying a whole area down in bursts of fire with longer range, but slower reloading times(can be mitigated with a system like the HIMARS. Still I'd rather be hit by neither but having a bunch of 300mm explosives coming in my direction from 100km out seems terrifying. That's just me piggy backing off of articles and I am a layman. Other factors seriously effect accuracy and how it is used. Until recently I didn't even know the US had good artillery. Thought it was sort of behind others like the Archer, specifically rocket Artillery.
