Well if the building was doing nothing then what is the purpose outside of wasting someone's money and not being productive land? Sorry I love history but it is a damn drug store. One that was apparently empty. Did it have investors to keep it in good shape? If not then definitely tear it down and build something productive instead of leaving it up for nostalgia. Let new generations have a new shiny gas station instead of a run down one. I could see if there are plans but mindsets like that is why towns drown.

@Joesolo13 Yeah and many historical buildings are ugly, falling apart, a health hazard and do nothing productive. Sorry just because something is old doesn't make it immune. Sounds like the town could have used a new gas station too since apparently the old one was shite. So if there was someone who would take over responsibility and fix it up? Cool then do it. If not? It is nothing special... Now I know... But but but it was your grand daddy first job and they use to sell coke for 5cents. Whoopty dooooooo! They are dime a dozen.
