Water and ice do have a taste. Try pure water that's been di ionized. Containers taste different even when not stored. I prefer chocolate milk from the red plastic cups over glass or hard plastic. I once was given an infusion through and tasted it. I asked them was that iron or something and they said yes. Same goes for saline solution which I love especially when I'm allowed to drink anything. Potassium supplements have a strange metallic, battery, or salt like taste.

What is worse is when they iniect fluid and charge ya the same for that! I haven't had it yet if it is so good then why isn't it more common! It doesn't seem like a hard process.

He doesn't take binders for the phosphorous and struggles with potassium or something? I eat beans pretty often on dialysis. My levels of phosphorous aren't ideal, bit my potassium has to be supplemented. In fact they keep telling me to eat bananas. I was life threatening low on potassium due to listening to the diet. All of our bodies are different though and I have hepatorenal. So I absorb food differently. Just saying those guidelines aren't the word of God. Oh and my phosphorous isn't a problem when I take my binders correctly. Let me just rant real quick- FUCK LIQUID RESTRICTIONS! Ugh! Why can't my kidneys just produce urine. Ill never complain about waking up constantly in the middle of the night to go!

I think I just met a guy who had something similar. Some disease. He felt like he was dying but was in the military but some old doctor finally figured out what was wrong. Edit NM it was gluten. He became allergic to it. Forgot what or why it manifested so late but he is VERY allergic to it.

That is cool. So I'm dying if I don't get a transplant. Liver and kidney disease. Basically was on deaths door all year long last year and couldn't get stabilized till April this year. As you can imagine my GI system is trash, and so was my gut flora due to the antibiotics I was on. I'm down to one now. I was trying to find high caloric low volume product and came across Kefir. I gave it a shot as a skeptic, and I shit you not? My GI issues have mostly vanished. I went from dangerous GERD, IBS, and constant nausea to being able to sleep soundly without waking up with pure acid in my mouth. I ended up dropping the myriad of scripts given to me. I still can't believe how effective it was honestly. I'm not saying it will help everyone but people should give the stuff a shot! I didn't know buttermilk is the same thing. Always thought it was closer to a sweet condensed milk to be honest. The Kefir I buy is thick as hell. (Lifeway Organic Wildberry. Only kefir I could find with whole milk). Cheers fellas and ladies.

Some unions suck and don't do a damn thing except take your money.

Yeah I think that is the reason. Burning never was. Pencils are not THAT flammable. Maybe the shavings? Anyway they wouldn't use a wooden pencil. Would've been mechanical from the get go. Yet as you say the tiny graphite shavings floating around would be an issue. At least liquids attract to each other in no gravity(micro gravity?)

Been trying to find someone else on YT who has the crisp editing, no filler, style of videos he has. Found zero. I don't want to hear about how this piece of seed reminds you of mother's love that gave you warmth on a chilly day, back when grandpa was still working... No elevator music and slow perfect chopping (seriously some make it look like they are doing a ritual. Are you cutting veggies bro or are summoning Cthulhu?) He also says what to do so and why, and WHY not to do something. What you can go with or without. Glad he makes a decent living off of it. He deserves it.

Wish they made low phosphorus milk. They don't and my levels are too high. (Kidney and Liver are stage 4) What sucks is companies fortify their drinks and don't have to list Phosphorus amount so I have literally NO CLUE what to do. My diet restriction is fucking hell. My doctors are like fuck it you're a dead man walking if you don't gain weight to get a transplant but still try to be mindful.

Tap water gets a bad wrap. Yet many places in blind taste test the tap water was rated higher than bottled waters! Insane huh? Competes with filter watered as well. Of course it is highly dependent on your source and pipes. People rave about well water but some tastes like ass and some people don't even get it tested. They say NYC has the best water. Its what makes NYC pizza and bagels so good. Everyone should watch the documentary on NYC water system. Seen a test on home made pizza using different tap waters and the difference was stunning. Anyway their systems amazing and believe is the longest or largest tunnel in the world. I have to have someone send me some. One day I want to buy different waters from different places and blind taste test with others. From Volcano water to glacial water to springs to mountian water and the whole nine yards. Get me a soda maker so i can carbonate them too and make sure they are all ice cold.

Check out some B vitamins. If you can get a blood work up? Do it! There is a doctor on YT who fided his insomnia by drinking I think Monsters. He realized everytime he drank it he would sleep later. Turns out he had some deficiencies! Think b12 is the most common. Yet others can. My insomnia went away. Thank God! Well I still wake up all the God damn time, yet I can fall asleep in 15 which is amazing for someone who suffered from insomnia. Anyway yeah b12 is the most common one. I wish melatonin worked for me.

Same! I would never ask because I feel like I'm such an ungracious dick. I appreciate the work... He's the only cooking show host I listen too and have learned a lot. Dudes editing is smooth and incredibly top notch. Any recommendations for other similar YT?

@nolongeramused8135 It's why I'm glad my dad's side are like farmers, and my mom's side is city. I had the best of both worlds when it came to it. As for raw milk? I'll drink it if I need to do so but I'm boiling it. Too many pathogens and that's backed by science. I am generalizing but feel corperate farm cows are probably more prone to pathogens due to them shoving as many animals into one space. Or they cut corners BECAUSE they know it will be pasteurized anyway. Over some farmer who really loves their animal. (Some shit farmers out there too.) Lots of wild claims for raw milk out there.

I hear Red Snappers are pretty great especially for those who don't like the fishy smell or taste. I've heard putting them in milk for a bit will get rid of that smell or taste. Has anyone tried that?

Anything?

Wonder why farmers don't try to reuse water. Create some boundary and a lake where water used can flow into. "Capture" it I guess.

He gives me seasoning ideas. Slowly collecting things. Can't find yeast extract outside of Marmalite. Shit I keep forgetting to try it. I need to try mushroom stock and vegetable stock. I love sauces and stews.

I'm underweight. I am not healthy. Your overweight. You are not healthy. Okay? It's pretty clear cut. Also I think overweight and underweight people aren't perfect or beautiful. I do wish I could gain weight. I bet you wish you could lose it.

As someone with a lot of health issues. Salt is real tricky since I have both stage 4 liver disease which turned into also having stage 4 kidney disease. I should have bare minimal sodium. Technically all people can just get it naturally from eating healthy food. People don't realize salt is in basically all veggies, fruits, milk, and meats. If you're eating healthy you're good to go! In today's modern food its pretty much impossible to go without it. Now if you're an athlete eating just veggies and drinking just water? Or working in the sun? Yeah you can easily lose all your electrolytes and that obviously can be a serious issue! Now back to my condition. I should avoid all. Fluid retention does terrible things to me and sodium is one extra strain on heart rate (not BP. HEART.). I also don't make urine - but I do use the bathroom a lot due to medication and have had some serious issues come up due to lack of sodium and potassium! You see potassium especially is terrible for CKD patients and doctors and nurses basically always assume patients are likely to be super high in it which is dangerous. I am not a typical patient and so the lack of liquids and lack of potassium was nearly killing me.
1
No other way to plant them? I've seen machines sort of plant them.
1
I'm not lactose intolerant but have kidney issues and struggle with Phosphorus. It sucks. I've tried almond milk and it is good but too sweet. Going to try coconut milk next I think as the others are super sweet.

Gotta add some chips or crackers into the soup. Wondering what else would go great in tomtato soup. Like some type of hard crisp veggie. Maybe some peppers. Or green bean.

Yeah if your body craves something it usually means you are in need of it. Like truly craving it which is hard to explain because you can be addicted to something like sugar. I'm terminally ill with stage 4 liver and kidney disease. Months ago I was craving pickles. Normal for a pregnant woman but salt is very bad for people with this disease so I shouldn't eat it as it is found in all food. I was extremely ill with GI issues as they go hand and hand with liver disease. At first I thought it was salt but my salt was normal but I was suffering from severe GERD too and acidic things don't help acid reflex. We will get to that later. Well I did and went on a pickle craze for a few months. Turned out it was most likely the lactaid acid - my body had very low PH which is dangerous to me. I can get both metabolic alkalosis and acidosis. Both are terrible and dangerous! Feels like you are dying with no fever... Anyway eventually I stopped getting that and stopped craving pickles. Also I am on an anti biotic daily and been in for severe SBP which can kill in 48 hours. Put me near death multiple times last year so my gut microboime was a wreck from the slew of antibiotics I'd be on anytime I was admitted. Yogurt then Kefir fixed MOST of my GI problems within a week when no amount of medication helped. Back to salt. Well I was following the no salt and absolutely little potassium diet that I was told to do once my kidneys failed. So from September to May I was sort of stable but still getting very ill randomly and couldn't gain weight or strength. First I found out they were severely dehydrating me during dialysis as they weren't taking my ascities into account for weight. Also turns out I was critically low on potassium! Luckily for me I met a doctor who said -you're going to die if you don't get a transplant and you need to eat to do that. Don't worry about the salt in bacon as you need protein and fat! So I never was super strict on salt which is why I was only just low on it . However some days I would crave it and just eat a pinch of a pinch. Potassium on the other hand dialysis kept telling me that they will give me some. But they only test my blood near an end of a treatment when they are giving me potassium. Basically in between treatments I was running critically low and since its hard to eat since I'm dying - I don't get enough from food. So for the longest time I would crave something and cramp dangerously at night. Wasn't dehydrated... Salt didn't do the trick but close... A month ago I remembered I had Nu Salt and gave the ingredients a second look - I thought it had phosphorous in it which I do struggle with so it has been sitting there since my liver diagnoses. Well it is actually just potassium chloride! Sure enough when I get that craving a pinch of a pinch will curb it! It also has helped with the cramp although they still happen. Like he said a charlie horse sucks especially at night time. Anyway sorry for the long post. Remember listen to your bodies! PS as for hydrating. Skim milk is better than water for a healthy person!

@slXD100 Yeah but it isn't so simple especially these past two weeks. Lost appetite along with throat feels off - making me gag and puke if I don't spit the food out. I see the doctor tommorow so hope they can help. I take NovaSure which is 500 calories a pop. But shit is expensive. I also have to worry about certain vitamins, salt, etc, and the WORSE is freaking low liquids (20 ounces a day). My body is fucked but I am trying to get 20 to 30 pounds for the liver transplant.
1
Yup saw it. Definitely proof that it does matter. Tap water gets a bad wrap but its highly dependent on location. A lot of blind taste tests will actually rate tap water higher than bottled water! Insane huh? Everything from the source and the pipes you have. If I ever get a liver and kidney transplant I'm purchasing different waters to test it. All will be ice cold and ill be blind folded and just try them all. Get everything from volcano water to natural springs to glacial etc etc.

@pumpkin1escobar Add in some Holands Red Cooking wine and it's delicious. Yeah yeah cooking wine is bad, but it is cheap and you can store it for long periods. The salt part sucks. Wait he did use wine. Didn't think he did.

Wonder of it works with Ox No sodium bouin powder. I have packets of it. Use them to strengthen soups haha.
1
They need to freaken get phosphorus out of it. I use to think fortified shit was a good thing until my liver and kidneys failed. I can't seemingly win with phosphorus even when I eat very little and take binders. I thought I'd have issues with calcium and phosphorus but NOPE. I usually run too low on both.
1
I won't say I'm 100% with lactose, because it doesn't mix well with a lot. Gives me some acid reflex but sometimes I think it's the chocolate I put into it as it also soothing. Milk is high calories and protein. I always wondered how safe natural milk was back before pasteurizing became the normal. Lots of bogus claims are out there on raw milk. People are so bizarre when it comes to food.

Apple sauce comes to mind. Like if an apple is tasty. Then why the hell do ya need to add anything to it? Do they add water? Okay. If that is the case just juice an extra apple or two instead of adding water so you don't need sugar. Red Delicious Apples are anything but! Don't let good looking apples get ye! Learn the different types.
1
That sounds like a good idea. That way you can brown both and have crispy pizza. Thick pizza taste better left over because you can also make it crispy. I don't usually do anything but pepperoni or ricotta anyway for toppings so I would just fry the pepperoni. Now if I knew how to crisp jarred banana pepperonci I would be set!

I hate cooking. I hate cooking shows. Yet I'm dying and my taste buds are going, and I like completely different things. I've been binging his videos trying to find ideas of what to use and why to use it. Almost gone through most. One good thing as I have vastly improved my eating. Sadly I can't use alcohol which sucks! I had a positive on a drug test for it and my mom cooked the shit out of it each time we had it. My favorite meals use it and I need to gain weight.

Nah what is really crazy is they realized you can inoculate or seed different things with the "mother". They isolated the good bacteria versus the bad bacteria. I mean desperation is the mother of invention and we see this with fermented foods. Using yesterday's bread to get the good yeast to help new bread taste better or rise quicker. Using the right kind of soured milk to add to new milk for kefir or buttermilk! All of them last significant longer and can be stored. They also can be dangerous if you don't do it right, and that's so crazy. What is even more mind boggling to me though is them figuring out what PH levels work to stop terrible things... Was this done by pure trial or error or did they have some methodology to it!? Thank God we can pass on knowledge eh? Makes you wonder who these pioneering dudes were who experimented with everything... They didn't just say something is poison and leave it alone, but they kept at it trying to make it useful through whatever means they had. How much stuff do we enjoy today that is harmful in its natural state?!

Turkey Gravy is fucking amazing though. My mom's is and you can't buy it in stores so.

Love bean juice from the can. I wish there was more per can TBH.

Glue doesn't last, and it splinters. I had that happen when I was young, and didn't listen. Also pretty sure I seen someone soak a cutting board in a commerical washer a few time. Like just man. Thing was wet. Was like five pounds heavier. I am sure if hit someone with it, A) You're knocking someone out. ; ) With a wet thunk. Don't know what the kid was thinking. Cleanse the wood he said. Ya know, from bacteria deep and fungus. Kid was 21, clean off drugs which was rare, but god was he stupid. So my Chef just shook his head, yelled only for 5 seconds which was rare. Board surely must've been over 150$. It was for meatboards and display!

@Chinookman I'd keep it too but couldn't he like... Do something better with it? A make shift fireplace?
