People think the grid cannot keep up, and talk about lack of infrastructure. I think they forget it is driven by private demand, and electricity demand was either a small increase per year or dropping. We never needed a large production, because every year our stuff became more efficent. Look at electricity demand from 2008 to now. For many years it kept dropping. Therfore our private power companies had no reason to invest or build. Afterall they are for profit, and over building is a waste. Basically what I am saying is there was no demand. Now that there will be more demand the power companies will see this opportunity to get richer, and kick into build mode. Praise be capitalism. The big AI companies are already making their own power from what I understand. Google is going for even geothermal. The nice thing about the Sun is that it not just produces solar or wind. It over produces it. We have more than enough sun to run AI.

The brain sucks! Instead of using excess food to grow more brain it makes people fat, and nasty. Imagine a world where eating more made us smarter. I would be a dumbass in that world, but America would be number 1 baby!

@anthonycarbone3826 Well the nice things about humans is we aren't really that specialized like an animal. It isn't like we are born to do a few things, and rely on a single diet. Or a single climate just to breed. If you think about it. Humans are super generalized, and adaptable. General intelligence allows us to change with our conditions or change those conditions entirely. Specialization won't be our downfall. Our downfall will be our greed.

@volkerengels5298 I think they'll be making their own energy. At least the big companies. Probably a lot cheaper getting solar, wind, batteries, and hopefully that new geothermal technology. Than paying some other crap greedy power company. Most likely cheaper too.
