This is the first generation. There are already bigger systems in the works with much more powerful lasers. This is for low threat targets. Not against near peer mass attacks.

To bad they aren't thinking bigger with customized giant trains. They are competing with ships who thrive off of scale.

I don't understand oysters or clams. I heard they are tasteless or taste like seawater. Yet can be incredibly risky compared to many other foods to eat. Yet breeding them seems to be good due to the way they clean where they are farmed. They also can keep algae populations down which is incredibly important as algae blooms or red tides are wiping out entire swathes of the ocean. That is only getting worse as humans keep messing with the ocean. Like the sheer amount of nitrogen and phosphorous going into it from agriculture.

Aerodynamics most likely has to do with that. Being efficent is especially required for EVs. I actually don't know many who have GMs anymore. When I am in one for say Über it is an SUV.

Sadly stealth means many future aircraft will look similar. This thing seems like a step backwards. It is so small, and so not a lot of internal space for either long stand off weapons or fuel. I would say it wouldn't be an issue if it will mean you get a ton more for the buck. Yet ha. Haha! Yeah that ain't happening.

@vietcongbuondanbannuocphan1791 Of course it will have a remote operater. We aren't dumb enough to send expensive equipment that we can not control. Not yet. There will always be a human involved that can take some control. Question is how many humans for each autonomous whatever. We gotta knock the prices down. The whole point is to make things cheap.

For me? We need cheaper, mass produced gear. Why can't they make this to carry a net that it swings under it or drops? So it is reusable. They are expensive missiles. We don't need expensive missiles. We need cheap things. You know make a drone that can shoot other drones down with bullets. You know what they should design is The Expanse Style Point Defense systems that can shoot down incoming missiles and drones, but are small enough to fit on a vehicle. I would be dropping billions on such a thing if I were the military.

I don't know many Americans who believe we are the best except for online fools. China also misleads on how strong they are. You aren't ever going to get any negativity from China. Are you kidding me? The entire government spends more than entire countries on propaganda, civil security, and saving face. China so far has proven they cannot innovate. They've had to either steal or copy. Twenty years from now? Sure... I do agree with you on western governments having flaws. We are clunky, short sighted, and don't always focus in on what we should. The whole supporting microchips, and other electronic manufacturing though has given me some hope. We might not be ASLM for instance but we still are leaders in many pieces of the entire puzzle for many technologies. Also only Europe comes close to touching America in the aerospace industry. One thing America is good for that does help. We are a country who people do want to move to relative to many others with Europe being the other. No one with talent wants to move to Russia or China. Even places like Japan are notioursly polite but also very xenophobic.

@@introboy1Yeah, but generally those missiles that can reach the same distance with that payload are generally bigger. Or they have a smaller payload if they are the same size. The fact it glides, and has wings helps immensely. We are putting wings on everything now. It is about time. Some glide bombs can go about the same distance. That is wild. Yet I couldn't get specifics on what aircraft were chucking it at what speeds or what heights! I bet it is like from an F 15 going full adtee burner at max altitude at 45 degrees.

Yeah it is pure ignorance. The best microchip producers want to send their highly skilled computer engineers, and ignorant people think we can just produce them here willy nilly. TSMC is the best in the world at fabrication. The best way is to stop acting superior, and accept the gift. Need to take a page, and start stealing tech ourselves.

All that stealth and NO internal weapon bay... Yeah, that is a real issue unless they are now designing missiles that can be on the outside of an aircraft without effecting the RCS much. It will be nice on egress. That is it.
