  1. The AF I think did the right thing by pushing a new design in my opinion. One that didn't have to sacrifice so much for STOL like the F 35. So much technology has advandced since the F 22s inceptlon. At a rate that is mind blowing. Having a new platform ASAP I beleive is the right gamble. The Navy needs to hurry up with their massive interceptor. That thing better be fast as heck, a massive radar, and be able to carry missiles the size of telephone poles at mach 3, hah. (Big missile = more stand off range.). Oh and a lot of range.
