I think US just wants to slowly bleed Russia. I say this as an American. If Europe and America were serious about actually ending the war they'd be sending planes and other offensive tools in larger numbers. First for defense but secondly to actually attack Russia... Russia has the benefit of everything being safe and cozy in their home with enough natural resources to create enough to keep the war going. Not their top of the line products mind ya as they don't have the equipment used to make the machines they make the machines and the brain drain screwed them so badly after the fall. If the Ukrainians could attack Russian logistics coming into Ukraine they would have a much better chance of finally ending the war.

I swear everytime he posts a video it is immediately bombarded by Russian trolls. (Western trolls as well.) It is actually pretty wild how many just pop out, and start screaming lies or BS or Ukraine is getting their asses kicked or Russia has lost 5 million men. (Or some outrageous numbers.) Anyway I feel like he enjoys it. Even haters give views, and the comment chain is one of the least civilized ones I've come across.

Have to agree even though I dislike the damn thing. Just so versatile and definitely gets way too much hate. It is a great plane even if it can't do everything the best. I'll listen to pilots who love the damn thing and have experience in other aircraft. I'd say the F 15ex but it is so expensive and no stealth but it looks like a freaken work horse once air supremacy is achieved. Maneuverability I think is over rated these days. It isn't Vietnam and missiles have gotten so much better. If the F 15 ex was one third the cost of it I would say that. America really loses out by not having the Meteor which I personally believe is the best A2A missile in the world. I've read Isreal has some variants on jets and such that may be better and if there is one country with sneaky ass equipment it is them. That was just things I have read but didn't really go into so it could be hearsay. Also Japan's F 16s from Mitsubishi are overpriced as hell haha.

@Mr00Ted I mean I think the F 22, and (maybe) the B 21 will be just as deadly with it. B 21 has a cross section of .0004 according to some. The F 22 has .0001, and F 35 of .005. Also the B21 might actually be better with other types of radars then the two fighters. Low Frequency Radar stealth I think it is called. We also know it is for recon, EW, and could have a bigger radar. So my point is if it can target and shoot a2a missiles it is going to be a massive threat even on its own! Yet it won't work on its own, because the AF isn't like that. For sure it will be working with F 35s doing what it does best. Be the quarter back of the field!

There is no world where nukes are tossed, and America doesn't do something alliance or not. Russia can't take on Ukraine. Each country in NATO still has a large amount of stockpiles that they can at least tie Russia down till they get their war time economy out. Just think of all the fourth gen and fifth gen NATO has. Aircraft that can actually perform SEAD. Russia would not be able to make it a trench war with their artillery getting destroyed by air. F 16s have done missions inside Russian territory which is nuts. It would be Russias last mistake attacking NATO even with Trump being Putins lackey..

I love huge ships, but I think in the age of missiles they just make easy targets. You're putting all your eggs in one basket. I would design ships as small, as possible. Smaller the a Destroyer if I could, incredibly fast, low to the sea with the smallest profile, but still blue water. Of course the square cube law means they would carry less missiles total. Yet they wouldn't also be target priority 1#, and have the ability to be more flexible. They can scatter like cock roaches, but still kill you just as easily. So instead of one big ship you have 30 that can each destroy two to three ships themselves. How many missiles does it take to destroy a carrier? I'd work my way back from that number. Japan as an island fortress... I can picture it. Love the idea.

Agreed. Logistics is key for war. The strike group would screw them up though till they ran out of supplies. Also no GPS...

Either way one strike force would run out of munitions, fuel, and food. Remember the Japanese also had a Merchant Marine fleet.

@trojanmanSSSD The estimates are all over the place still. Got a guy lower in the chain saying Mossad says Ukarine is losing way more people than Russia. Like 150k to 12,000? Also Ukraine lost 3,500 vehicles. Russia is said to have lost 2k in armored vehicles. I find it hard to believe since usually defenders will nearly always have the kill advantage. Again no one will know the death count. I'm tired of looking at them quite honestly.

Stop listening to fear mongering US media and Russian propaganda. Russia can't even produce its own equipment. The T 14? It is garbage and uses a tank designed FROM WORLD WAR 2. And they STILL can't make it reliable - hence why it broke down during the parade. The electronics and such can be purchased by civilians! The active protection systems don't work as promised. Russia was buying shit from the west and now that it is cut off they screwed themselves as they don't have the capability or people to make it. China was going to purchase it and they said no this tank is garbage. It is a paper tank. Russias stealth fighter is a paper plane. Russia still doesn't have air dominance a year later even after a surprise attack that wiped out most of Ukarines Air Defense. I won't underestimate China for sure though. They took a hit with microchip bans but they'll catch up. They have enough people and are willing to pay for experts. Russia is just... I do not know what the hell Russia is doing but they should've put more investment into having their talented workers stay in Russia - the brain drain hit Russia hard and that is something you cannot simply buy. No one would leave their country to go to Russia for work unless they are desperate and Russian leaders would rather line their own pockets.

@littlesaints91 I've heard the ATV4 can disable modern tanks but not destroy them. Like tracking a tank, or taking out sensors. Speaking of sensors - how armored are they?! Can machine gun take them out? A 50 caliber? HE? Blinding a tank when you don't have an other choice seems like a good idea.

When they say total cost does that mean one missile or does it include the command unit? (For the Javelin.) Anyway the Javelin wins due to the command unit being able to be used to scout. I wonder if it has a mode where it just turns on the infrared to save power. When are we going to start using rechargeable batteries as well. All vehicles should have a USB slot and all equipment should be able to recharge by it. I always hear how infantry complain about lack of disposable batteries.

@MrJdsenior I kind of looked into it. We are now using recharable batteries. Hopefully they add in USB slots on vehicles and still allow you to switch them when you need it ASAP. Maybe give those survivor manual recharging devices.

@mohdaamir8136 They get 100 to America's 180 hours, and they are missing one huge factor. They don't get to train against other countries with great pilots. Russias flight hours are even worse, and the quality of their airforce shows the lack of training in Ukraine. I'll try to find the article stating from a NATO pilot who was there. Been a while. Do you really think it is as simple as sending some fighters to go and destroy something as valuable as a tanker or AWACs. You act like they would be flying solo? The US knows how vulnerable those craft are. I seriously doubt China is on par with their EW capabilities. Yet the capabilities of both are classified. As for allies... BRICS is a joke. What is Brazil, South Africa, or Iran going to do? What are any countries off the strait of hormuz going to do. India would gladly sit back, and watch China get choked due to its hubris. The world would not stop the west from defending the sovereignty of Taiwan. That or a war with India is the only way the US or the west would be at war with China. Russia can't even keep their Navy together against Ukraine, and wouldn't dare back China against NATO when they are struggling on their doorstep. That last part is a real joke. BRiCs is a joke. Like Russia or China would really give up monetary sovereignty. Brazil and South Africa, and Iran are weak. With South Africa barely keeping their lights on.

I think Russia has what it wants. Access to the sea, and now the large natural gas reserves. It wouldn't surprise me if NATO will eventually try to make a deal. Read a headline that Italy is trying.

With what logistics is each going to use in order to win? Isreal will bomb some targets. Iran will use proxies to get theirs. Question is what kind of economical damage I guess. Isreal just blew a load defending itsself. Lasers need to become a thing. Why Isreal or US aren't going straight to megawatt lasers is beyond me. Wonder if the iron beam was used.

@imathreat209It is political for sure. Republicans trying to move the HQ to Alabama for political purposes is one example even though it would cost billions plus take more than half a decade. Trump didn't sell it right either. People don't understand why it is required really or how it will help. Me? I'm worried military politics getting in the way like the Army trying to get some CAS, but USAF won't let them have attack craft with wings. Then terrible uniforms. Also the name is lame. Anyway curious how the BFGs larger diameter will influence the design the future of military satellites. I have heard physicist say it will be great to have a larger diameter for their instruments. Maybe one day we will have a squat rocket. Should name it the Fat Girl if so.

When they are ready and when Russia is the most vulnerable. I hope they do it without basically many suspecting it like the fall offensive. Basically have units on ready and once an exploit is found they take it as far as they can while keeping Russia reeling as they aim for main objectives like natural choke and supply points. Let us face it. Ukraine will have one hell of a time winning this war for as long as Russia can just keep sending crap their way. Russia can live off their natural even if they cannot actually manufacture the best like they use to. Ukraine cannot do this and Western aid will slowly dry up. Europe as a whole is still not the cohesive or united state it should be. They don't have the will power of Poland.

Super Carriers might become a liability if we don't improve our missile defense technology and get the stand off distance we need. That means 10MW lasers and the new FAXX with the improved stand off missiles they are developing. Super Carriers are massive and while I don't think China has the capability to easily sink one on a war footing at the moment? They eventually will get their kill chain down for their missiles and perfect it. Even though carriers are still one of fastest military ships moving in 3d space and their top burst speed is classified? Missile technology is catching up where they won't even need GPS or a laser to hit one. Making a few hundred hypersonic missiles to launch at a single super carrier is well worth the cost. Even if we could pump out ten super carriers a year? You still need to recruit and train the 5 to 6 THOUSAND crew to operate it... Many jobs like those with the nuclear reactor just can't easily be trained. The destruction of one super carrier and it's air wing would be an absolute disaster. The thing about land based missiles? They can be as big as they want and so they will always have the benefit of range.

Luckily we have something called training! Doing red flag exercises against our allies with all types of situations really helps give us a measure on how to fight, and we can even mimick our enemies due to us gathering intelligence on them. The F 15EX would not be going up against anything alone. What it lacks, others will make up for. Right now I see it as a the ultimate attack craft, with the best 4.5 gen capabilities. China is catching up, especially with all the leaks. So I am not sure how long we will have an advantage. Anyway we would not be sending F 15s out near Chinas mainland, unless we gained air superiority, and destroyed most ground threats. Most we would attack with them is their ports. We have other aircraft to attack Chinas air space. I have no doubts it will be the best 4.5 fighter. The question is if it is good enough for the price? Is the price worth it. I don't even think the USAF brass wanted the F15ex! They wanted more fifth gen, but Secretary of Defense, or Congress basically changed their budget plans. After seeing the cost of it, and how dangerous China is. I agree with them. If the cost was low I would agree, but they are more than the F35! Truly ridiculous.

You can scurry away to a new position to reload, which is what you are supposed to do anyway. Javelin is guided, and the NLAW isn't. Has nearly four times the maxium range of 2,000 or 4,000m depending on variant, versus 1,000m. Albeit really can't be used up close(65 meters versus 20). It has what, three times bigger warhead for direct attack where the NLAWs is only for light vehicles. 18 pounds versus 4 pounds by the way. The CLU can be used and has for recon. It is reusable. NLAW is great for what it is. A cheap system. Yet in basically all metrics the Javelin is better. It isn't perfect. Yet I'll take those trade offs any day of the week, unless I am in a setting where I don't have enough minimum range to use it of course. Also in what universe can a tank suprise you, and you don't have three minutes to warm everything up? Do you have any idea how loud tanks are? I think they are replacing it with something soon or an upgraded version. All I know is they better use rechargeable batteries.

@wilmeroberg9794 Like I said, NLaw for urban combat if there are no fire lines. Which is why you don't set up in a place you can't use it, duh. Even urban areas have lines further than 65m. 65m is way closer than you want any tank with their support to be. Javelin for nearly every scenario except these specialized ones you keep bringing up. CLU can last up to 4 hours depending on ambient tempature, and batteries can be changed. Not as good in higher tempatures. Either way I've been told by two vets they've used it to check vehicles out when they couldn't identify them multiple times, and to just scan noises in forests. The new CLU has 50% more battery life. 70% smaller, and is 40٪ lighter. So it will get even better. Yeah, ill take that. Worry about these ninja silent tanks that can teleport under 65m of my position later that you are so worried about. I mean you'd have to wait for a tank platoon to be on top of you, and can miss if you don't lead correctly with a NLAW. I could have fired, and retreated before the missile hit to set up for an other shot Maybe my mate would then destroy an other helicopter with a Javelin as I retreat. Since they can do that too, and destroyed a Ka52. Short of cost, minimum range and weight. Javelin is better. Four times the range. Guided. Three times bigger warhead for better direct fire. Optics. Fire and forget.

@MikkoRantalainen The Javelin weighs 49 pounds total. 35 pounds for the warhead. 19 pounds for the command unit. NLAW weighs 29 pounds. So at best you can only get double. Which you might need due to the higher chances of missing or not actually getting a critical hit on the target. So you're wrong on that. Also the Javelin has further range. More likely to kill the target by a long shot needing less shots. The command unit can, and has been used for infantry to use to help recon with the advanced optics. The only two downsides of the Javelin are the fact that it is expensive, and has a minimum range. Which is being fixed. Also the newer versions will be rechargable.

@casematecardinal Aren't they working on it? Germany has a few programs and create many technogloical parts western countries use. A big modern war is going to be nuts due to how much allies rely on each other for parts.

I've talked to AF and Navy pilots and love it. There is a learning curve.. Those Hornet pilots would absolutely need to learn how to use all those gizmos and stealth. Cost per flight hour though. Ehhhhkk. Wonder how deep it is under water. I know the carrier strike groups have a sub with them.

Remember seeing it plastered all over that it lost to an F-15 but it wasn't even fully ready, and OFC pilots didn't have time to use all of the capabilities. The politics of it didn't help either. Dunno why they kept moving the yard line so they could keep jobs. Still it is amazing and HOPEFULLY paves the way for better aircraft in the future that are cheaper. People forget it is a whole system that works with other capable platforms. Short of the expense it is good. I wish I could try out the helmet.

@James-kp8mg Just holding land. Stealth planes aren't invisible. It's why we use a combination of bait, EW, and sheer force. I think the US could cut through a large portion. Maybe even hold a bunch of cities. Russia simply doesn't have enough tech and seems incompetent. Like I said no way we could hold it long term, especially if they went asymmetrical but take on their army? Yes. Only China would win. US has the intelligence, modern arms, drones, airforce, and navy. Russia has the artillery advantage. I don't know about submarines. They have to resupply food, and we have the numbers there.

Also since technology is advancing at a rapid rate we can add that. Like active defense systems, new composites, sensors, and passive defense.
