We have tiny swarm drones - which I know various places have been working on for search and rescue. Using that to create an AI swarm that can be launched from a forward operating base to fly to a sector, and seek and destroy. Think of a 100 swarm of bats coming at your machine gun nest. Either firing munitions or going kamikaze. They will seek and destroy, and once targets are not found return to their launch pads to wirelessly recharge. They will of course have humans in the mix telling them what sectors to go after. Mixed in with other systems for larger targets that would be horrifying. They could be controlled by more expensive drones as well making the kamikaze drones cheap. Have that forward operating base have a mobile 3d printer to fix them as well.
