  1. The Marines should have always been a lightly armed force with tons of support from the Navy. Almost like airborne or raiding units. More of a sword. If you can't air drop it then it isn't for the Marines. The army should be the hammer. Definitely heavier equipped with tanks, artillery, with support from all. I'm not sure how we plan on invading islands against an other peer. I personally feel like amphibious assaults are going to be just blood fests.
