Yeah you cannot just copy it due to culture reasons. A state owned company that is ran by a Monarchy won't work unless that Monarchy actually holds power. Monarchy and dictatorships aren't exactly inherently terrible. The old president of Singapore comes to mind. Yet it would take a great effin leader with a culture willing to listen, and follow to even have change. Regardless of what type of government it is, people have to be willing to work together. Africa? Nothing against Africa, but the tribal/clan warfare in many places makes ANY sort of government impossible. Especially with the borders created so badly(although honestly tribes need to get over themselves, move on, and stop blaming Europeans for the perpetual violence. Take some responsibility.)

Yeah the curse of resource rich countries is always mind boggling to me. You have to diversify, and exporting is good. Add in the severe corruption of many South American countries, and bam. Yet know it is easier to blame orhers like America or a European countries for a scapegoat while the elites in those countries line their pockets. Maybe one day countries like Brazil will actually rise up. It is crazy how many times they've changed their currency due to the previous failure in the last 30 years alone!

China threatens Japan does it not in the South China Sea? Pretty sure I read that. China has no qualms of attacking Japanese territory to destroy airfields. America does a lot for Japan. Protects their shipping, and their oil to name some. People think America has gone to war for oil for themselves. It did to protect the Petro dollar for sure. Yet an other reason was to protect oil supplies for our allies. Europe and Japan rely on Middle Eastern oil. Without America they would be much more vulnerable.

That is nonesense? Many highways do pay for themselves indirectly through increasing commerce, and trade is taxed. Then you have tolls on some roads. Railway can be profitable too without subsidies, but it shouldn't be. It should definitely either be ran by the government, and subsidized. At least for public transportation. It should also increase commerce, but I'm not sure how much just public rail increases it if any at all. Edit. Also he is talking about just high speed versus regular rail.

@puraLusa The Europeans really did do a crap job, especially upon leaving. Still no excuse for multigenerational bloodshed. Like I'm not fully white, and it is aggravating me to see other races use an other as a scape goat as they are now the perpetrators of their own issues, and nothing will change unless people stand forward. Sorry for the rant. Anyway back on the topic. What works for one culture cannot be shoehorned into an other. There are too many variables. I think it is best for each nation to look at others for inspiration for what they want to achieve, and then make their own unique plan to facilitate it. An other rant. Speaking of Africa. South Africa going to the dumpster fire really depresses me as they were supposed to become THEE developed country for Africa, and what countries there can achieve.

Xi is the type to fart in the elevator, and arrest you for warning others while walking out. Anyway why would a video about a political topic - show a picture of a countries leader of said topic? Why does a political news channel use Western media tactics? Oh I don't know. Maybe, to draw attention to it being about the political side? The topic is political, because of the race to AI is important to each side. DeepFake is cheap, and efficent. Yet learned off Western AI. I'm not worried. The bubble was getting out of hand. Makes me wonder how Mongolia became stable. Like THEE pinnacle of a nomadic people somehow became stable. Not sure when or how. Now I need to read about modern Mongolia.

So? We get 3.8 b/d from Canada. I believe we also have more capacity to refine it. So it is about a bit over 1/3rd of our exports.

@polysporin8332 Those students aren't getting jobs, and don't want to work in the factory making consumer goods. Unemployment is really bad there. So bad that the CCP stopped publishing it. It is sort of insane that China hasn't taken number 1 due to their population. I mean, they basically have the same population of the US, and EU combined. They have the resources, and don't care about the environment. They only invest in green for security reasons to decentralize the grid, but for every huge solar farm there is a new coal plant. The Demographics will catch up, and the lack of enviromental health will compound that as the effects of having toxic crap strewn everywhere catches up on their aging population. Anyways that will just slow them. Again, their population, and control of resources means they have all the advantages. EU, and NA will need to invest in to robots, giga presses, 3d printing, mines/supply chain if they ever want to compete. Yet like the other person said. Virtues with unicorn policies will hold the EU back. Can't save the planet, produce, and consume, at the same time really while trying to be number 1.

I am suprised he didn't mention two other big deals. Mongols ripped a lot of the most powerful a new one. They didn't just conquer Baghdad. They obliterated it. Then moved on to slaughter other caliphates, because the Muslim world didn't band together like today. Then you had the Black Death. Crusades. Then you had Europeans wondering if we could sale around these guys we've been in a life and death struggle with. So the importance of the silk road diminished. Then Europe came ahead through the sheer wealth via exploration, and found sources of silver for Asia. All while Muslims remained Muslim. Europeans took the best from Muslims, and then went onto do bigger and better things. All these things including what is in the video. Today Muslims cannot get along each other with corrupt governments. Anyway Mongols with silk road losing its value I think had a lot to do with it.

Pretty sure the only reason why the Monarch exists is due to oil. Basically they pay to stay in power. Question is... Middle East countries have citizens that literally do not want to work. I think they are trying to remedy this. "Saudis are lazy" is all I have ever heard anyway.
