  1. Desalination is energy hungry no matter what. Pairing it with district heating and cooling isn't a bad idea either. I just learned about district heating yesterday and this building has an incinerator plant. It uses the heat from burning the garbage to make electricity and then sends the water to heat and cool the entire building and a ton of other places. Kind of kill two birds with one stone. Cooling is especially energy hungry and makes a lot of our yearly emissions. Having a power, desalination plant that also can cool would be awesome due to economy of scale. Obviously the infrastructure would be expensive.

You're learning new things today congratulations. Sorry I forgot to pack your lunch. I'll remember the juice box next time too, but going to go get some cigarettes first.
