I'm looking forward to the General Dynamics Future Bulpup design with the new casing and round. Bullpups will be the future. You can put a longer barrel on em. I love the weight distribution. As someone who is a new shooter.

@seanwhite304 Short of cost and reliability. Why would retraining be an issue? They are a bit different to shoot but if I can handle one well so should solders. That is like someone saying they cannot use a new controller. The change will be slow anyway. I feel like material technology has caught up too.

@seanwhite304 Shorter length or longer barrel for the same size which offers more range. Have you shot any? There will always be a learning curve for any weapon. I've already said the draw backs, but training shouldn't be one of them.

@fredcollins8919 Yeah or make it longer to get more at the same length. The benefits are all there except for maintenance, cost, and reliability. As long as it performs better. It will take time for soldiers use to the m4. I found them very comfortable to shoot while trying other guns. The reload excuse is BS to me. But I'm a layman. I just know the are the future. Shorter barrel the weight near the shoulder, etc.
