If it slaughtered 100 years ago it will slaughter today. Thats why when people say lol using a T-62 whats that going to do. Well it can blow you and your friends into pieces leaving only your left ankle for your platoon to find later.

@rvilloch3132 Sure it is going to be vulnerable and an easy target. It still has a pretty deadly gun and can at least protect against indirect fire or splash from artillery. I'm not saying they are going to be winning any battles but to say it is useless is just also crazy. Hell if it takes a Javalin to destroy one - that is one less javelin to worry about for your better tanks. I'd still rather be in a hull down tank position in a T-62 over being exposed trench with a MG42 or Maxim. Both don't seem great odds at surviving if the enemy knows your location in today's battlefield though. The T-62s are still deadly against lighter armored vehicles too. Definitely don't want to be in a truck and run up against one. I'm sure Russia will get some usage out of them. Personally I'd stick them at a place I wanted to defend so they sit basically idle until needed. The only huge downside I see with these sides using these old weapons is the stress on logistics - like where are they getting ammo and parts. Yet if it is guns they need then they are useful.

@draochvar9646 Well I am sure everyone wants the T14 but a working tank is still great to have around. Is it ideal? No. Would I want to be the crew of it? I honestly don't think I'd feel safe in any tank TBH. I think though if I was infantry assaulting a position. I'd definitely would rather have a T62 assisting me over having a few loaded MRAPS. The real issue i think with the T62 is logistics. Is it worth the strain on logistics. I think that's the real argument. I would say put them in a spot where they aren't wasting fuel until attacked.

@SimonBauer7 For sure in theroy. Unless the T 62 hits you from the side. Which should be nearly impossible, but hey. Just saw two Bradley's take on a T90m and completely knock it out of the fight. They didn't destroy it, but made it useless so the crew bailed.. So imagine what a 115mm can do even with older ammo. So yeah, it isn't ideal being in a T 62a. Just better then nothing for the most part unless it is sucking up all your fuel or something.. Sadly Russia seems to have gotten their logistics together. Republicans need to get their shit together.

Can you snipe with them? How's the accuracy of a single shot or burst?

@cenccenc946 Yeah. Wonder if a specialized rifle round could also work.
