Yeah what was that about? I did a double take as I never heard LIDAR going for a ton of money. What IS the cost then? They don't have any radar which pisses me off. Radar is great for seeing things you cannot see. Like a car in front of the car in front of you suddenly stopping. Makes me mad they basically got rid of it. Basically ultrasound was it not? Either way being able to see through fog, heavy rain, and behind obstacles seems like a no brainer to make auto pilot safer than driving which is the entire goal. Not to make it perfect just much better.
