I dont agree with attacking civilian vehicles. Yet Elon acting like he can do everything he does without backlash is ridiculous. These rich people think they can stomp over everyone. Hope it bankrupts the company. Tesla suck anyway now that there are other EVs.

Maybe some cultist snapped to reality finally. Some eat up anything that man says no matter how many times he's failed to deliver. Tesla use to be cool. Now they have competition, and are meh. Charging ya for a bare bones design car with bad fittings. That man is far from an engineering or computer science genius. (Or legendary gamer, lol.) Saying hyper loop is functional.

Yup. It is crazy that is allowed. Can just give yourself a huge salary, bonuses, and all that jazz while the company burns. Don't ask me how to fix it! I wish I had the knack to have stupid rich people give me money. I swear some start ups are money laundering scheme.

What is crazy is it you have 70k for the house. You can live rent free for two years. Just go from home to home paying the loan. Or I should say condo? You're living in SK. I don't think it has many suburban cities unless you move to a "rural" area. Like I said. When it works. Anyway yeah something tells me one day in hundred years or so we are going to see revolts. Landlords seem to have all the power again.

I don't know if you know this. New car companies are almost never profitable for the first ten years. Let alone one using a completely new technology that many people outright hate. As much as I hate Elon now. He was smart with how much Tesla started focusing on manufacturing. Ever see the Monroe Live I think it is? It basically breaks down vehicles and explains things about car manufacturing. When he broke down one of the Teslas he would go over it. Tell you how so many design choices of the car were made with manufacturing in mind. Everything basically was, and he thought it was genius. I haven't seen the Cybertruck videos. Pretty sure that is an exception. It is a shame. People judge EVs on 2012 cars or first generation EVs. I hope these companies succeed as they are improving in every metric year in and out. You look at a top of a line Lucid, and are like holy shyte. The performance beats so many cars twice to three times the cost, but it is a daily driver luxury sedan beating the snot out of dedicated sports cars. Yet then you learn they are losing so much on each car. They are a god damn steal. Anyway price is dropping significantly each year. Once the price is cheaper, and chargers are made with range going up we will see more EVs. Electric motors are basically superior. Until someone makes a working vane engine which I hope they do!

Oh Elon the gaming legend who got to top rank in Diablo and PoE 2 without basic game play knowledge? The guy who said he could Hyper Loop, and naysayers were dumb? A scam from the beginning. Cyber truck guy? With the "subsonic 9mm ammo" rated armor? Elon knows nothing, and the average person still doesn't know what the F 35 offers. It is worth the price. Israel just proved it. A war like Ukraine/Russia is rare. If the US was involved it would just go around the mine fields, and defensive barriers. I don't think people know what the Air Force alone can unleash when told to do so. US ranks top 1,2,3 and 7th largest air forces in the world. This doesn't include Armies artillery, and our tanks. Anyway the F 35 is a stealth radar that can coordinate other aircraft and weapon systems.

New car companies are hard enough to get profitable. (Forgot the statistic) Let alone an EV company with unproven technology? Yeah, those who invested were asking for it. Basically gambling with a hope, and a prayer. Then again they are likely filthy rich, and the odds outweigh the risk? Even then I feel like shorting it is the better option statistically. I was told always focus on manufacturing when it comes to new car companies unless they are high end. If they don't have answers on how they reduced price or how parts weren't designed to be streamlined then don't bother. Ease of manufacturing is what separates a Tesla from a Lucid. I am an EV person too. In a decade or 15 they will outperform ICE in everything, but long distance non stop travel. Which is very niche.

Someone told me it is pretty common, and happens a lot in the tech industry. I heard Microsoft use to do it as well. How true is it? I don't know. Yet it doesn't surprise me. I'm not defending Apple. It is wrong. It needs to stop, and maybe it will teach these huge companies from doing shady crap like that. Now if it is true, and many other companies poach employees or steal IP? Why do we rarely hear about it. Why is this case different?

Videos been out for minutes, and people already judging. I will do it too. It is a bubble, but it will help many fields. The stuff it does well it does very well. Yet those things aren't really useful for civilian use. Regular computing does better.

Yeah. I am positive gas stations don't make money off of actually selling gas, but products. Follow their model at the very least. Although I think having it at a diner, fast food joint, Starbucks, or even a grocery store would be optimal. No one wants to sit in some random sketchy parking lot just chilling in their car, twiddling their thumbs or pretending to drive their effin Tesla for 30 minutes. Anywhere you can burn time for 30 minutes or so is best. Get creative. Don't know how people who are much smarter than me thought building JUST a charging station is smart. Welp something needs to be done. Biden, because he is smart. Just passed laws with all the other loonies to give subsidizes to more charging stations. Those incentives should help, because chargers are the only thing holding EVs back. Being a place with too few to no chargers I imagine sucks. Especially if you don't know if you have to wait in line. EVs are already superior in many ways. Can't wait for battery technology to get better. To bad wireless charging at scale isn't possible. Imagine being able to charge just by sitting at a stoplight. I seen electric buses that literally use super capicators to charge at their perspective stops. Was pretty cool. Had an automated connecter that popped up into the socket. Charged as people got on and off, and bam. Off it went. New advances in battery and capacitor tech are only going to make EVs better. Yet it will take work, and money to make such a drastic change seeing our entire civilization basically runs on fossil fuels. It will just take time, effort, and people will adjust or adapt.

Yeah I disagree with the videos premise. First. It is flying. It will always be niche for the foreseeable future. Second. All they gotta do is be cheaper to fly and maintain. A 3 hour flight with an hour charge time or something would work for A LOT of people. It is meant for quick short regional trips. Maybe once axial flux, and solid state batteries come. 500 wh/kg batteries will be good enough. Personally I would like to see a Hybrid with airplane designed axial flux motors or other similar types. Dropping complicated mechanical transmission allows for easier VTOL due to til rotors. Id like to see a flying body design too. Anyway I think it is totally possible and in the next ten years.

@justhecuke I didn't say it had to be some third party making chargers. I mean of course you aren't going to make money if there are multiple parties involved. No, in fact companies should be building chargers in their own parking lots. That would be ideal. If I were McDonalds for example Iwould definitely be pushing it. Get more customers who might not have came in the first place. They can charge, and it. Same with smaller stores. If I owned apartment complexes I would also install them for a fee. Like I said if people think they are going to be making money off just charging they are crazy. Gas stations make fractions of what they sell. Why would charging be any different, especially when you get less volume per stations due to charging taking so long. Each charger can only charge so many per day.

BEVs in the next few years will make both internal and hybrid cars dumb. Why buy a complicated parallel hybrid when you can buy a BEV with solid state batteries. In 2027 to 2028 solid state batteries will be in full swing production. These batteries will offer battery electric vehicles to be the same weight as internal combustion with all the glory of the superior tech - the electric motor. Hell axial flux motors are becoming cheaper too. Soon we will have 500 mile EVs with insane horse power to weight ratios, instant torque, and the benefit of being able to charge from your home. Few people drive 4 hours a day straight. (Under 40 miles a day for the average American. ) Oh let us not mention the benefits of solid state like faster charging. The only hybrids companies should be making now are series hybrids. Where the internal combustion is just a generator for the battery. This allows you to drop the transmission in favor of the electric motor which is inherently balanced. No need to balance the engine with some oddly shaped crank case either. It is crazy only China embraces BEVs while Americans and Japanese insist on keeping inferior technologies going. Doubling down on internal combustion. Fools. Short sighted fools.

Kind of said computers are basically buying and selling thousands of times a day from each other all trying to get the advantage. Creating just weird anomalies in the market. It made me laugh on how absurd the stock market really can be. I don't have to understand it! I am ignorant for sure. It is just like... I am thinking I am in the wrong buisness. Not true. AI for consumers seems like a pipe dream. Who needs AI in their TV or toaster. Where neural networks seem to shine is RnD from what I hear. Calculating fluid dynamics and chemistry. Health care. Just computations in general. Also finance is benefiting from it. I also read it can help in industries like metallurgy. Not really sure how on that. Or if it is actually AI being used.

Yes, exactly. It is a no brainer. Put it at grocery stores. Malls. Diners. Starbucks. Some place where you can do something as a car charges as you shop for something - anything - can be a porn shop for all anyone cares. Not some random parking lot where you sit there twiddling your God damn thumbs for half an hour. Basically if you ask me? Charging isn't where you're making profit at. Selling something else. I think Stock Holders are ruining America. None of em are ever happy with just gliding off dividends even after their investment paid for itself. Companies start off as good. Then instead of being happy with what they have they want more, and more. So they hire CEOs who's only job, and incentive is to get more regardless of long term consequences. Look at Boeing. Got ran into the ground by MBAs. More often than not the CEOs don't always fully understand the company or the consumer. On the other hand some companies like Arizona are successful, because the owners are happy with what they got. Their owner said basically that. Why change when it is working. I think what should at least happen is the people making choices should be held responsible. Whomever made Honey? All the higher ups making those choices should be the ones paying it back. So sick of corrupt people sitting there. Making horrible choices that either rip people off, or even get them killed (Boeing). And then running off with a huge exit bonus never to be held liable. There are no consequences for corruption, bad business, and it is wrong. I'm too dumb to figure out how to make a good system against it. I just know CEOs, large stock holders, and all should be held liable for the choices they make. Their personal bank accounts should be hit. Start making examples.

@cokechang You do know a universal health care system would be cheaper in America? Republicans are so short sighted. Even if it were more expensive. It would make up for it with better production of workers. Right now only ones benefiting are insurance companies. Everyone else in the medical field including patients is spending a fortune on it. Well that is everyone who works in insurance. How many medical office jobs are people in offices soley dealing with insurance.

@tossed_about I am not a fan of hydrogen, but the Hindenbutg was deadly due to other factors. I think it was the aluminum in the paint they used. An other airship that didn't use helium killed much more that year. The reason it isn't as well known is due to the fact it wasn't caught on film! Gotta remember catching anything on film was amazing back then. Let alone a terrible disaster! Anyway having a 700 PSI tank doesn't feel safe. One that is flammable. Or one that can leak and silently kill me. Yet I'm not worried about the safety. It is the volumetric density, and all the issues here that make me feel like hydrogen sucks for our modern needs. Batteries will improve. Wait till Lithium Air batteries become a thing. Maximum therotical density of 12k kw/kg if you use the oxygen from the atmosphere!

I would say if he was actually somehow developing technology instead of just bossing people around. Sure. Musk is good at convincing people to invest. Bossing people around. Making hype. I just don't see what value he brings for 55 billion. He isn't a genius either. A genius wouldn't have ripped people off with Hyper Loop. I'd rather Space X succeed anyway. So if he is a genius he should focus on that, instead of tweeting random political misinformation.

The companies have a right to use information aggregated through someone else to pass judgment what they spend their hard earned dollars on with advertisement. This is like Hollywood getting mad people don't want to advertise their rated R movie on children channels. No one has to use your website. Musk lashing out like the unstable man child he has become.
