@dct124 Defiant going to go 300 plus knots? Haha you don't understand the physical limitations mate. No way that's happening. There is a reason helicopters haven't pushed past certain knots even after decades of material and engineering advances. They simply are hampered by physics.

@dct124 What? The apeed and range alone.. Enough said. Outside it's footprint it is perfect and the Defiant isn't a tiny hummingbird either and 100 knots slower. Helicopters are going to be niche because they cannot go much faster due to retreating blade stall. Valor is perfect. As long as it doesn't have some type of catastrophic design flaw that is. Oh and tilt rotors are just as safe as helicopters.

@kiabtoomlauj6249 It's not even that more agile. I've seen videos of both and the Valor is nimble as hell. I thought the pilot was crashing TBH for a moment there. It can land and take off just as quickly too as it can swivel on the fly and I'm sure the pilots are only going to get better with it. The thing already literally flies it's self without pilot input. Definitely the best option. Can't match that speed and range. The Defiant isn't some small craft either and one hit to the rotor blades will ruin both aircrafts days.

@dct124 @dct124 What are you talking about it cannot manuever? I'm watching videos of both and the Defiant doesn't seem to be that much faster like at all. One thing I do know is the both have the benefit of future software avionic updates to flight control systems for better manueverability. That thing can fly sideways and switch directions pretty quickly and transition on landing and taking off. Have you seen the videos of it in action? The footprint is bigger and that's the only disadvantage. The Defiant isnt small either. The speed and range will make up for it. There are ways to insert troops without the need of touching the ground as well.

@dct124 Sure it acts like a gyrocopter. Still only reaching 238 MPH.
