  3. @@trollolol705  @trollolol705  Yes... Farming uses land and resources. What exactly at ya getting at here? Oh you're against GMOs... One of those types... Probably don't even really understand them but read some headlines and scared of the boogeyman. In order to feed the world without GMOs we would be tearing down for more farmland, using more water, and diseases and pests would wipe more out. GMOs can be much more nutritious and can taste better. If you have solutions then I would love to hear it it. GMOs are a life saver and believe it or not we have been modifying plants since agriculture once we learned how to selectively breed and cross plants- go try to find what a tomatoe or corn looked like from 10k years ago and compare the two. So I am not getting your point here either but I suggest you really read up on the subject. Just because you grew up on a farm means jack. That is very apparent as the food you grew weren't native either but designed by man in a slower way but the results are the same. I doubt you actually have any solid reasons on why GMOs are bad. I would love to be enlightened. I already listed the benefits - the savings in water and using less farmland alone are better for the earth in the long run. The fact each acre can produce more with higher nutrition also is a benefit. As for killing wild native species. Yeah I bet your parents allowed every plant to grow between whatever your cash crop was. And yes farmers need to be better. More efficient. Just like industrial fisherman need to stop scooping up everything in the ocean making a path of destruction for all wildlife. I'm all for salmon farms and other marine farming BTW as long as it is done efficiently and responsibly like all production should be.
