I don't think they have a monopoly. Samsung literally makes better phones, but people buy Apple due to fashion purposes. What the DoJ can do is go after their crap business practices, and what they do to screw over consumers. Like making their phones nearly impossible to repair for cheap. The whole not allowing texts being as secure from other phone issue was completely crap too. Other giants like Microsoft and a Google have tried to make a phone, and dropped the ball. Other companies simply cannot compete. I don't know why anyone would buy any overpriced Apple product over an Android. Yet they simply prefer it. Apple screwing over other apps should be changed. That is it.

Yeah. WeChat isn't suddenly going to take over. I'm all for Apple getting hit for its crap business practices, and the way it screws the consumer. Not necessarily it getting broken up to being a monopoly. Not sure if that is good for the US buisnesses as a whole. I mean people aren't forced to buy Apple. Samsung is great, and I prefer Android. Other companies keep trying to get into the Smart Phone area, but just screw it up. It has nothing to do with Apple dominance. Apple uses are just fanatical, and they love it.

Yeah even the local governments on the small scale are corrupt with just the most bizarre things. China is trying to push its regions to be greener. Literally, have plants. Instead of planting plants, they planted rebar. Put cotton on it. Then painted it green. So when the surveyor flew over it looked like there was foliage so the local governments would be rewarded. I use to think the West was the worse. Yet the more I learn about the world, and other places I realize... Humans on a large scale are screwed up, but it would be MUCH worse if the West wasn't dominate. .

@slyeella Sure they can because just like what we are doing with ours? We are giving you guys money to ya know... NOT doing it but you're too greedy and corrupted to actually use it and just pocket the money. Seriously Brazil should be almost a super power - yet it can't even be called a fully developed country. For every step forward Brazil does it takes two steps back and then blames every other country for their issues. I always love how corrupted people have all the excuses in the world for why they cannot change... Yet they always do! (And fail to follow countries who were in their position and dug themselves out.)

Better manufacturing for cheaper. Government subsidizes. Also fudging the numbers. There are millions of EVs just being bought with credits then being recycled or sitting there. China should sell more EVs. They are the second most populace country in the world by a large margin, and richer than India. I don't see why we need to compare total sales.

Anyone with a brain should be scared of China as Xi is a neo imperialist who already threatens war with sovereign nations. Bullies their neighbors. He wants power. It is just common sense. Unless you believe the political lies like how Russia says it wants peace. Fact is China and India should be the most powerful countries from just a resource and population perspective. Crazy it isn't. Last time I heard the average Chinese citizen made 2 dollars a day. Surely that has grown, and will. Who knows how long, because it is hard to judge how strong they are doing since they stopped releasing negative information, and local governments lie from the ground up.

All countries can run on a war time economy for some time. Look at how long Nazi Germany fought. Yet it will catch up. Just it will take a few years.

Maybe it is due to the USSR being more tight lipped on economic growth around the times? You got the data? Either way. His point when showing the data is China is beyond Russia in economic strength. Which is true no matter what data set you choose. Russia is a nuclear armed gas station being invaded by one of the poorest countries in Europe, lol. China by extension is an economic power house. The funniest thing about this. China isn't friends with Russia. They are bleeding them dry for cheap resources like gas. Russia showed how desperate it is for oil by building their half of the second pipeline. When going to finish the deal it soured last time I heard. It is rumored Xi wanted the same discounts on gas that Russian citizens get! Putin wasn't happy.
