@TheMagache How is switching to EV about more control? Or better yet how is it any different then gas? You got an oil rig or something in your backyard hidden from the government or something? So when the government tries to control us. You can still power your home or use your car by just drilling? A Saudi friend willing to bring you a few tanks monthly so you can fill up on the cheap? Nah. You go to a gas station. One that you don't own, or have any control of. If anything an electric car allows you to live OFF the grid. Tons of people are already doing it. They have solar and wind power, plus a storage system. Which allows them to power everything electric they have. From home, tools, and CARS. Some of you people don't even think about what you are saying. Like come on. Solar/wind+ Battery + EV = off grid. They are also the cheapest form of energy generation now.
