This looks to me like a cash grab. They are being sluggish on purpose with their EVs with this. There is nothing inherently that bad anymore about electric vehicles accept infrastructure. Yet when I see old manufacturers designing things like this I question why. Why so gimmicky. We've had a century of learning how to place functional buttons and handles. They aren't changing for the better. All these things seem software related. Hopefully VW can make those changes in an update. I also understand that a lot of the world doesn't need non stop 4 hour driving on a highway. So the 185 range isn't a deal breaker. Yet it is 2025. It should have better performance or a much much lower price. This is ridiculous. You buy electric for performance from what an electric motor provides. 325hp, 185mph estimated highway at 70k? What a joke at that price. Thing should be able to do 4 second 0-60mph. Or have 500 miles. Something. Germans should be ashamed like I am ashamed with Ford, and people should be ashamed of Toyota. They half ass their electric car designs, over price what you get, and cry when the public doesn't buy them. Having China beat us is unacceptable, and that is exactly what is happening. Just remember the electric motor is superior in performance. We can build much better ones. Do not buy this junk.
