Yeah same. A jet turbine generator, plus solid state batteries to run a Transverse Flux Motor. Or an Axial flux. There is an axial flux motor right now that weighs 26kg, and has 25,000rpm, 978 peak horse power. Or 851bhp continuous at 650kw. 95% peak effiency. Inverter weighs 13kg. 86 pounds. It is called the SPX 177. Only 400nm of torque though, because it is two tiny motors in one. Koensiegg motor has 1250nm of torque while heavier at 800bhp. Think it is 39kg plus 15kg for inverter. 119 pounds. Electric motors are insane. Only improving too. It is crazy.

@jamestatnell3065 Are you talking about the corrosive properties of sand. Or the forces caused from the particles hitting the vehicle? I mean I never thought about it, but I bet at speed the sand has to be like hitting a sand blaster at a certain speed.

I think if you designed one from scratch today. A rotary or turbine series hybrid, with axial flux motors. Helix UK motors says they have an axial flux motor with 800bhp. Not too shabby... Yet the kicker is 52 pounds! Put two plus of those motors. Drop as much battery weight as you can. Use the superior rotary/turbine power to weight ratio to power the batteries. Then use the effiency of the batteries for less stops. You have all the instantaneous torque and power you'd need. With the superior effiency as well.

@GonzoDonzo Yes! Absolutely! That reminds me of the Electric Adaptive Engine from Astra Mechanica. Can act as turbo fan, turbo jet, and ram jet. Powers the compressor/propulsion while being a generator. I'm in love with the concept if it fully works as intended. They have a prototype already. More efficient, and supposedly more powerful. That is crazy you brought up something similar. I wonder how big of an engine would be required for a car. Would be awesome to use it as a power source, and a generator to cut down battery weight, and help electric motors at high RPM. Can be used to power a fan to succ for grip. I hear Transverse Flux Motors are even more power dense than axial flux. I cannot find much on them. I guess Axial Flux are better at higher speeds, but TFMs are good for direct drive lower RPM. However Google says they have potential for EVs, but doesn't say how good they actually are. Doesn't define "lower RPM". Future is bright for cars. A vane engine, hybrid would also be a therotical kick arse car. Up to 70% effiency therotically. Anyway good thinking.

Some type of electric turbine hybrid would be perfect honestly. If we could get a freaken vane engine. That would be acceptable too.

@mirandahotspring4019 Yeah ton, and tonne pisses me off the most out of every measurement except Celsius versus F - F being a clear winner. I have heard of a long ton, but not anyone actually use it in real life. I'm not British so it makes sense. Now you're telling me there is an other ton regarding ships, and it is about displacement? The fuck man thanks, but now I am like what the hell. So when people say a cargo tanker is a million tons plus or carrying a X amount of tons of cargo... Are they actually using Lloyd's Ton, and displacement?

@mirandahotspring4019 Honestly who cares if most of the world uses metric. This is standard YouTube in English. America is the largest demographic and I think the best one. (As in money per viewer.) If people are bothered by imperial than learn a quick conversion, and stop being lazy like I did. It isn't hard. Seriously people need to get over themselves. Don't hear me complaining when pilots bust out nautical miles when talking.

@mirandahotspring4019 @mirandahotspring4019 Yeah, Americans especially have made it hell for themselves for not switching over. Just buying soda for example. You buy it in liters. Medical field uses metric, and when you buy medicine you buy it in grams. Or hell even your local drug dealer sells weed in grams, but at a certain weight goes to ounces and pounds. Or maybe kilos. Like I said I taught myself metric. When they listed what a British ton was I was like wait. Isn't that just a metric ton, but then no. Like you said it is pretty close. Only measurement I really dislike is Celsius. I think fahrenheit is better for the human experience. 100 is hot, and 0 is super cold for everybody. I had someone tell me a tempaturs in Kelvin once when talking about how hot their car engine got. Like yeah, oh I know exactly how hot a thousand Kelvin is. Anyway now that I know about ship tonnage. That is wild to me, and I'm pretty sure others have used them interchangeably. Some talking about the weight, and then later volume in the same sentence. Thanks for clarifying that.

@artysanmobile LoL you went through quite a comment chain to get to my comment. Yeah it is a mess. A stupid one for sure. I was more aiming at people who can't calculate a simple km to miles. Like they have no comparison to it. Might as well be using the plank scale. I get it. I hate it when people tell me how tall they are in centimeters. Takes me a second like oh. Acting like they are 182cm. When in reality they are 5'8. Yet I still can easily estimate close enough. It won't be exact. A kg is 2.2 pounds. Yet not exactly. It is actually .998. I am around 48kg. Or about 106 pounds. It is annoying people spend more effort complaining in every video rather than just learning the systems.
